Jason Brown graduated with honors from Minnesota State University at Mankato. Following his undergraduate work, he received his Juris Doctorate from the William Mitchell College of Law. During law school, he served as an associate editor of the law review and member of the international moot court.

Whether a first-time DWI or a more serious charge involving criminal vehicular homicide, Jason Brown has played a critical role in hundreds of criminal matters. He understands the criminal justice system very well, given his tenure as a public defender and judicial law clerk. It is not uncommon for Jason to successfully fight for the dismissal or reduction of criminal charges.

Jason has substantial trial experience and has been appointed by the court to represent individuals facing civil commitment on dozens of occasions. Several of these matters received significant media attention.

Mr. Brown has moderated and lectured at continuing legal education seminars and authored many published works. He has coached law students in trial skills and is a former adjunct instructor in the paralegal program at North Hennepin Community College.

Cynthia Brown graduated with honors from the University of South Dakota (earning a B.A. in criminal justice studies) and received her Juris Doctorate from the William Mitchell College of Law. While in law school, she was a volunteer attorney with the Legal Assistance to Minnesota Prisoner's program.

As a former prosecutor, public defender, judicial law clerk and criminal investigator, Cynthia's criminal experience is quite broad. She has handled hundreds of criminal cases, many of which involved DWI charges ranging from misdemeanors to felonies. She was recently interviewed by ABC News.

Cynthia takes a straightforward, practical approach to handing DWI cases. Given her years of experience prosecuting crimes, she can anticipate the arguments and actions of the State for the benefit of her clients. Quite often, Cynthia will resolve cases through plea negotiations, but she is fully prepared to take your case to trial if necessary.

Beyond her exceptional work as a lawyer, Cynthia serves as the president and board member of the Amigos de Guatemala Foundation. The Foundation was started by she and her husband to help impoverished families and orphaned children in Central America. In the last three years she has made nine trips to Guatemala and takes great pride in offering assistance and resources to those in need.
